I am on a bicycle road-trip and have taken my old Washburn Rover with me. It's equipped with a string-raiser for lap playing. However, inside it's case, it is too bulky for a bike trip. I've tried mounting it in several positions but I concede defeat.
As cycle-touring is my fave form of vacation, I want to combine it with an instrument. The Furch Little Jane (or similar) looks like a solution but I note that there is a clamp fixed on the nut to keep the strings in place when folding it down.
I'm asking if anyone has used one as a travel lap-steel and how they raised the strings.
Foldable guitar as lap steel
