Clair de Lune and The Swan live in studio

Post by Mike Neer »

I love to arrange these incredible tunes for my own amusement and hopefully the amusement/enjoyment of others. The Rickenbacher steel I’m playing belonged to the late, great Sol Hoopii, and it sat under his bed for 50 years after his death.

Couple of home runs there, Mike. Beautiful tone and touch on both tunes. Slant intonation on The Swan is exceptional. Cool backing tracks, too, and a great mix. I’ve heard your Claire De Lune before, the vibe of that 6/8 groove is spot on 50’s doo wop, and a brilliant choice for the piece.
