5 Minute tips for Hawaiian Steel Guitar #6

Some folks have been asking me to do a few videos on Hawaiian steel guitar, so I thought I'd maybe try and blast a quick 5 minute one out each week for a while and see if it's of any interest. It's hard to get a point across in 5 minutes, but I'll give it a whirl for a while each Tuesday.

Here's the sixth one. This is the main part of the classic "Hula Blues". It gives you a feel for playing in odd keys (Eb in this case), some double stop positions, and some speedy right hand picking, but all-in-all, this song isn't very hard to wrap your head around.

I'm using open G tuning for this (DGDGBD Low to High) but this would also apply to the high-bass tuning, or Dobro tuning (GBDGBD). Enjoy!
