My wife donated her old Samsung tablet which is much easier to use. I'm not sure I would have gone out and bought one just for this purpose, but both the mp3 players I've tried have the same problem. They're hard to manipulate whereas you can just jab a finger at a touch screen.

E-Reader or Tablet

Post by Jim Fogle »

Try going to Dollar General, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, Target electronics section. Look for the cheapest e-reader or android tablet they have.

E-readers and tablets have built-in media players. All the ones I've seen accepts SD cards for added, external storage and can use playlists. So you can use your computer to load song files to cheap SD cards and create playlists.

Not releated but one feature on my Sandisk MP3 media player that I really like is a built-in FM radio tuner. It uses the headphone cable as an antenna.

Get yourself a Spotify paid membership. You'll probably find all the songs you have on there. If not, you can transfer your local files into spotify and sync them across all your devices. A smartphone / tablet / computer of any kind would work. MP3 players are a thing of the past.
