New Video @@ Love is Blue - A6 tuning
Just uploaded to YouTube. This tune was a big instrumental hit in 1968. I always thought it would make a good steel guitar instrumental.

great stuff Doug.
I always liked this song, decided to google it. music by Andre Popp

I miss the days when an instrumental could top the charts, though it originally had french lyrics:

Nice, Doug. You really bring out the melody of the tune with your smooth style.

Thanks guys. Paul Mauriat and orchestra had the big instrumental hit in 1968.

I remember hearing the song on the radio back then. It was surprising because pop music was psychedelic in that era: Hendrix, Cream, The Doors. And this beautiful instrumental broke through and became a hit.

Every time I hear it I flashback winter 68, delivering mail, started smoking weed and the Tet offensive. Even your version did it
It was a Billboard #1for 5 weeks.

It’s funny how a song can trigger memories. This song reminds me of my ‘63 Ford Falcon convertible… cruising around town with this tune blasting out of the radio. It sounded so dang good!

The addition of the harmonics was so well executed and in such great taste, Doug! Let's get together for lunch this summer.
blah, blah, blah.

Very nice and well played, Doug. I am old enough to remember that tune the first time it came around...
